Salon Furniture Choosing the Correct Furniture

Setting up a hairdressing salon or beauty salon requires a hairdresser to make a serious choice when selecting salon furniture.

Why?

First of all, your clients must be comfortable. A hairdressing chair or barbers chair must enable you to work closely with your client enabling you to execute a good cut or styling expression. Often this process can take a while, therefore your choice of salon furniture must ensure that the client is comfy and at ease. Remember, a lot of clients can suffer with lower back problem's which can make their session painful or uncomfortable.

Secondly, when a client enters the salon, first impressions count. You want to create a professional environment where your salon furniture makes a statement about who you are and the type of service that you offer. Remember, tatty or damaged furniture can lead to a negative impression and possibly result in you loosing the client.

Old salon furniture can cause damage to a clients clothes. There have been a number of cases where worn salon furniture, especially metal fixings, cause damage to clothing and even scratches or tearing of the skin. Be warned, this is the last thing you need, as this could result in litigation. Be careful. Always select reputable salon furniture and get it checked every 2 years for mechanical and electrical standards.
